TBM Education and Certification

We're in the process of building out our 2018 Executive Foundation Certificate Course schedule!  The next available course is February 8th and 9th in DC.  You can register and check out additional details here (scroll to the bottom of the page)- and look for more dates to be posted soon.  

This looks great. Will there be more of these through out the year? Is there a calendar I can reference to make the appropriate arrangements.

Hi Keith - yes there will be a schedule for the year which we hope to have finalized in the coming week or so.  All TBM Council events will be posted here and we'll do our best to get events both onsite and virtual posted for your planning purposes...and I'll be 'hanging' around TBM Connect posting upcoming opportunities also.=)

Like Keith I am interested in this and would like to know what options there are for attendance.  How does this class differ from the on-line site: Head of TBM Office: Executive Training?

Hi Ben,  That course appears to be taught by Apptio where as the TBM Executive Foundation Certificate course is taught by Todd Tucker from TBM Council.  I've tagged him so he can answer a few more questions.

See the bottom of that page. Right now, there is only a February 8-9 course (in DC), but many others dates are in the works for February and beyond.

The "Head of TBM Office" training is an Apptio course. I do not know what it entails but you could speak to an Apptio rep about it.

Also, please note that we deliver private courses for companies who wish to train a large number of their professionals. This helps you articulate the value of the TBM program, what it means to different roles, etc., and drives great discussions internally about how you're approaching the TBM disciplines (transparency, value for money, shaping demand, planning and governing).

Finally, we also enjoy working with companies like yours to host open (public) classes in your training facilities. This often works really well where the host will often bring in 15-25 of their own people and then we recruit another 10-20 TBM execs from the area.

Ben the head of TBMO program you found on community is self-paced. It distills a lot of the basic education our Customer Success Advisors previously had to deliver one to one whenever they began working with a customer.

People who work through this program can skip through the basic info an advisor would usually need to relay and focus their conversations on more advanced TBMO topics. You can guess from the description that the entire program has a very "Apptio" focus right down to a section on Apptio functionality for the TBMO leader. 

The TBM Certification course is product agnostic and is a great opportunity to meet and learn from other TBM leaders in the industry.
