CALL FOR COHORT MEMBERS

The TBM4Cloud Strategy Community welcomes cloud professionals whose organizations are adopting public cloud infrastructure (IaaS), platforms (PaaS), and software (SaaS) and are using or adopting TBM and related practices such as Cloud FinOps to manage and accelerate cloud adoption and outcomes. The TBM4Cloud Strategy community aspires to provide answers to all business-related questions on these topics.

Overview of 2022 Agenda – Key Focus Areas:

Cloud business management is an important topic of interest for Boards of Directors and Executives. The TBM4Cloud Strategy community aspires to provide answers to all business-related questions on this topic.

Recordings of prior events can be found here.

When done right, Cloud is a business enabler, it challenges principles believed to be true yesterday, creates new opportunities, and requires new management approaches. In the absence of management frameworks these opportunities become challenges and deep financial holes quickly.

This community group is focused on identifying trends and sharing best practices in Cloud Mangement. Defining how Cloud fits within the rest of technologies present in the modern IT build from a business perspective and eventually creating management frameworks for the industry.

Cohort Members will document proven approaches to solve the most common on the ground challenges in managing cloud expenses, how to guide/influence cloud strategies, create transparency and facilitate value conversations among all stakeholders. This group is a forum where participants will network, share experiences and learnings, discuss approaches, learn from each other, and agree on best practices.

Adopting cloud (PaaS, IaaS, SaaS) goes beyond deciding which vendor offers the most advantageous contract. Enterprises do have a footprint on the cloud before that contract is on a desk, it spreads very quickly on the promise of seamless scalability, limitless flexibility, and cost savings. Cloud has transformed traditional concepts of IT infrastructure ownership, capital investment decisions, accounting principles, and governance processes.

Key focus areas for 2022

  1. Cloud role in enterprise digitalization
  2. Benchmarking of IaaS cloud
  3. Value framework for cloud inclusive of PaaS, IaaS, and SaaS
  4. Cloud management beyond workloads migration

Commitment & Team Structure

Volunteering your time…

Your cohort will be about 9-12 people (think: small, committed group of pros). The TBM4Cloud Strategy Community team meets every week for 30 mins to align on key focus areas and action items.

There will also assignments for each member, so you should plan on spending additional couple of hours or so every two weeks. For example, you might be asked to share what outcomes you and your team are driving with TBM that are particularly valuable to companies in your industry and it would align with the community’s goal.

The TBM4Cloud Strategy Community consists of the following team members:

  • Manik Patil, Chair
  • Juan Jose Jarillo, TBM Technical Advisor
  • Niketa Purandare, Program Manager
  • TBM4Cloud cohort (recruitment in process)

In 2022, we plan to hold 2-3 TBM4Cloud Strategy Community meetings; one in the month of June, one in September and the other during the TBM Conference held November 7-10 in Austin TX where will be present the final output.

What’s the benefit for you?

Networking

You’ll get to know a handful of others in your industry and learn from one another and help foster a TBM Community around TBM4Cloud. You will have a chance to broaden your network by participating in TBM Council’s virtual and in-person activities such as the TBM Conference

Recognition

Your contribution will be recognized via content publication after the TBM Conference. We will arm you with a social kit that you can leverage to highlight your involvement in the TBM4Cloud Strategy Community on platforms such as LinkedIn, professional blogs, etc.

Contact Niketa Purandare (npurandare@apptio.com) to express your interest by April 15, 2022.
