Some effort is being made for a minor update to improve alignment with NIST, but nothing I'm aware of to add or call out AI (or related areas).
I like to think of AI as a method by which a Resource Tower is delivered. To this point, the Resource Taxonomy already allows for companies to designate their own value (eg "AI") as a value for Delivery. Suggested values today include "Public Cloud" and "Other", but you can add others to track different classes of delivery.
In this way, you can track Resource Towers supported/delivered by AI. From a Solutions (aka Products & Services) perspective, you could drill down to Resource Towers with "AI" as a Delivery value to determine how much support originates from AI.

Subject: TBM Taxonomy v4 update?
Hello and excuse me if this is the wrong place to ask - this is my first post.
Is an update to the TBM Taxonomy v4 in development? It's almost 3 years since the last release. New concepts like AI don't seem to be catered for. I've extended the taxonomy in my organisation to better support standardisation and rationalisation of IT components as part of a recent merger.
How can I follow the development of updates to the TBM Taxonomy?
